Sometimes I like to “go natural” without really going natural. I’ll wear colors closer to my natural skin tone as opposed to wearing my favorite amethyst eyeshadow combination (made by Lancome). The natural look is a very classic look. This post includes a combination of products that I have used or am looking to try. I usually wear natural make up the most in the fall and winter. I save my brightest colors for the spring and summer.
I’ll start with the foundation that I like to use. My “go to” foundation is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. I just love the way it looks on my skin and the way it feels as well. It is very light and it doesn’t get all caked on my face. I use this as my everyday foundation. The foundation blends very well with my skin tone. Another reason I love this foundation is the fact that it doesn’t make my skin feel oily.
TIP: The best start to a flawless finish is healthy skin.
It’s all in the eyes. To me, the eyes are the most essential part of the face. I have chocolate brown eyes and I love to accentuate them. My eyes must pop no matter what. The eyeliner I wear is most often dark and the majority of my eyeshadows have some type of shimmer. I’ve fallen in love with yet another Maybelline product, the Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette. I line my eyes with the Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in onyx and I finish my look with the Maybelline Falsies Mascara.
So, I have heard a lot of great things about Kylie Jenner‘s cosmetic products. I haven’t tried them yet but I found this Limited Birthday Edition liquid lipstick and fell in love with the colors. They will work perfectly with your natural look. They are said to be highly pigmented and moisturizing.
Finishing the Look
I like to complete my look with the Cover Girl Translucent Face Powder. I haven’t been using this product for a long time but I love the smooth look that it gives my face. There have been so many powders that I’ve used in the past. This one is great for everyday use. It gives me a great look and doesn’t damage my skin.
